Stories of the Night

"Stories Of The Night" Moodboard
Introducing “Stories of the Night” by Alicia Lowe. This collection represents the joining of two contradicting ideas and cultures. These garments are merging ballroom culture and the ball. Ballroom culture is the ability to express your whole, true, self and be completely free and confident. A way to show your individuality and not be scared. The ball, on the contrary, had many set rules on how to present oneself and how to act. Both of these events were a way to bring everyone together, yet having different underlying meanings. This collection tries to express the act of bringing the individuality to an uncompromising event through colors, shapes, and lines.

Market Board
This collection is designed for an affluent, event-focused clientele who value quality, exclusivity, and presence. The target customer attends high-profile occasions such as weddings, galas, and formal events where visibility and photography are central.
A core pillar of the brand is size inclusivity within the luxury eveningwear space. Traditional designer sample sizes (US 6–16) have historically excluded many women, particularly within plus-size demographics. Despite gradual progress within the industry, representation remains limited. According to the 2020 National Library of Medicine report, 73% of adults in the United States are classified as overweight, yet plus-size representation on the runway remains disproportionately low (Vogue Inclusivity Report AW23: 0.6%).
Notable public figures, including Khloé Kardashian, Melissa McCarthy (2012 Oscars), and Barbie Ferreira, have publicly addressed challenges in securing designer garments for major events. This collection responds to that gap by offering luxury eveningwear that embraces and celebrates diverse body types.
